Spread the Word: It’s Brain Injury Awareness Month Help CDC and others continue to support Brain Injury Awareness Month this March on social media. CDC’s research and programs work to prevent traumatic brain injury (TBI) and help people recognize, respond, and recover if a TBI occurs. Those who survive a TBI can face effects that last a few days, or the rest of their lives. TBI not only affects individuals, it can have lasting effects on families and communities. Everyone is at risk for a TBI, especially children and older adults. Throughout the month of March there are targeted activities that can help amplify our voices in support of brain injury awareness.
